Did you know?? - Bib the Word

Hi you all...Happy Leap Year!! It 29th Feb 2012 and you cannot not blog on this day...it comes after 4 years after all!! I had to write today!! :)

Well today's fact file consist of the word Bib from bib necklace- the very hit trend last season. I had started a bib necklace this month and hopefully will be completing this coming month. Anyway, in all this making I wondered if Bib necklace was a fashion revamp of  a baby's Bib and it seems so, till now atleast!!

Bib means a piece of cloth or plastic to protect while eating especially used for babies or upper part of apron that covers the upper front part of the body....

Well I am still to find the person who did this transformation!! If you guys know please let me know!! :)

I guess my next post would be of the bib necklace I am making!! Coincidentally my necklace is in shape of the peter pan collar!! I really hope I will be able to wear it like that too... Stay tuned for the same!!

Playing with my Hair....

I do love to try new hair-styles and hair-cuts...but when it's time to go out and flaunt it, I shy away and end up wearing the same usual thing. But when I saw Bipasha Basu's hair-style in Jodi-breakers I couldn't resist to try it out...it is a very common hair-style but mainly done for traditional look, so seeing it on a casual wear was quite a change for me. I decided to try it out for dinner party of one of my friends. Here are the pics....:)

Did you know?? - Fact of the False Eyelashes

Wondering how the false eyelashes became a make-up necessity? Well I was wondering the same and thought of doing some research on it.

Thanks to late D.W.Griffith the very famous American director. False eyelashes were invented for his need of enhancing the eyes of actresses working in his films in 1910's. These fake eyelashes were made of human hair for a natural effect. Amazing, isn't it?

My first self-made Kurti!!

I have been off the radar for awhile because of the exams that are due soon!! Sorry !! Well today it's an OOTD post. It was my college friend's birthday party and I decided to wear Kurti made by me. This was my first kurti that I made for myself and shockingly the finish was really good. The best part of this kurti is that it was made from the fabric of my wrap-around pant my mom had bought for me from Bangkok!!!!! Because of the material being so rich I kept the design very simple with balloon sleeves (personally love them).I paired it up with my regular jeans.
In accessories the bracelet and shoes are from Linking road (Bandra) and necklace is my mom's gift.
